Bewdley Christmas Lights Festival

Set along Severnside North & South, Load Street and the Short Term Car Park.

2013 set another record with 90 stalls, various music groups, other entertainment and not forgetting the Fayre and Visit by Santa.

2014 Event

Plans are well underway and we expect the same number of stalls with the usual mix of around 50 local community/charity organisations and 40 small traders having stalls to promote themselves.

Music Groups, Choirs and Dancing Groups have signed up to provide music in all areas to add to the Christmas theme:

Mike Prince will be singing
CMC Band
Bewdley Band
Stourport Choral
Dancers on SevernSide South

Jugglers, Fire Eaters and a Living Statue will be featured on load street.

Short term car park becomes a Fair Ground for the day with various fair ground rides and don’t forget the Crazy House at the top of Load Street by St Annes Church.

The afternoons entertainment ends with The Parade coming over from Beales Corner – Nativity, Civic Dignitaries, Carnival Princesses, Santa and of course the Samba Band to give all music to dance along to. Stopping by the Guildhall (and once Santa has given the go ahead!) the Mayor and Carnival Princess will push the button to switch the lights on.

Updates will appear regularly on here and in our Festival Programme Page in the run up to the event as more details are firmed up.
